I have a 7 day pill box for each my am meds and pm meds. I take them at 8 am and 8 pm. I keep them in separate rooms that way I don't get mixed up and take the wrong meds at the wrong time. I also have a one day pill box that I keep in my purse.

I only take one med in the afternoon that I keep in my pm pill box. Recently I had a seizure in the afternoon when I take my afternoon pill and ended up taking my afternoon meds and pm meds at the same time. I didn't take my pm meds that day because I was afraid to be taking too many meds in one day. I hope that was the right thing to do.

Penny, did your seizures start after your stroke?

Sorry it took awhile to get back to you. Only I could "lose" the forum. lol:banana: .

Yes I did start the seizures after the stroke. The 3day sleep study I had this last summer showed the lesion that causes it was on the left temporal lobe. However I just started with a new and a much nicer/more attentive/much more recommended nuerologist and he had me do a new sleep study (he is in a different city) and it shows activity on both sides of brain in temporal lobe which would explain why my complex partial will go into grand mal.

So far I have not had a seizure or aura for 3 weeks so hopefully the Topamax will help as we increase and keep me on it. I am also on lamictal and trileptal.

:woot:

Penny, now that I know I am having simple partial seizures (took over 3 years to get a diagnosis) I realize they started the day after I had a small stroke.

I have tried taking my medication 9am and 7pm for the past 2 days or so and I feel like it has helped my sleeping problems. I slept like a baby (I dunno why they say that babies don't sleep through the night lol) last night. I fell asleep 1am woke up 9am I feel wonderful and well rested :D
