I've had a few tonic-clonics over the last couple of months. Admittedly one of them was my own fault through drinking (i didn't even drink much, but i've learnt my lesson)
I must say that on the whole keppra seems to be working fine for me. The only issues i really have is tiredness and forgetfulness. Anyhoo, absences/partials have decreased slightly.
Getting my keppra raised to 3000mg a day now because of the t/cs and hopefully that will sort it out. If not, my nurse suggested that perhaps another AED will be added to help out a bit. After my nightmare on Lamictal though, i'd rather not play around with new medications. Better the devil you know and all that.
Oh yeah, i've got to say that i am so glad i have an e nurse assigned to me. She's invaluable, especially when it's so difficult to get hold of my neurologist. There's only two epilepsy specialist nurses at that hospital (which isn't even in the town i live) and they must have a massive workload, yet she goes out of her way to answer my daft questions, liase with the neurologist and even come to my house to see me. She even asks how work is going and stuff like that
Just got off the phone to her.
