well I just learn something from you the hippocampus I saw my doc this week far removed from e he reading my notes said ischmic brain and hippocampus not getting good supply of blood really depressed me bit more cheered not that you got that but to know not uncommon I not only one you think my nuero said somethingHi Lonewolf,
Every time after a seizure I have memory loss but I have to admit it's better since I had surgery. According to my neurosurgeon the more seizures a person has then the
memory can get worse because the seizures can shrink and harden the hippocampus
where our short term memory is. I know my right hippocampus shrunk so much that when I had my seizure surgery they removed the right hippocampus because it wasn't doing me any good. My Dr. told me to do a lot of math, word search puzzle and crossword puzzle to better my memory. Also go on line and type in brain teasers and see
if you can figure out a simple riddle that will also help the short term memory. Wishing you only the best and May God Bless You!
Sue

Does anyone have minor or severe memory loss after they have a seizure?
Lately I'll have one of the two. It used to just be minor.
