If they can do something like this I don't see how they couldn't use this knowledge and expand on it! Seriously, that could find and eliminate so many mental issues. I wish scientific breakthrough would hurry up! haha I am impatient but it would be so awesome to see people be able to fully live again.
 
That's basically how neurofeedback epilepsy treatment works: You learn to use to the "good" brainwaves and suppress the "bad" ones by moving a spaceship forward on a monitor . When you produce the right brainwaves, the ship advances (or the flower blossoms, or the colors change, etc.). The more sessions you do, the more encoded the beneficial brain activity becomes. As soon as I can afford it, I'm gonna do neurofeedback.
