Had my MRI today, and they used a contrast agent at the end. Man, it gave me a doozy of a headache. I didn't know that was a side effect. It's mostly right side, and hurts from top to jaw and down into my neck. Anyone else experience a CA headache after an MRI? Could it be the MRI itself that causes the headache, and not the CA?

Hey, hope it went well good luck! . Think it was both, i had one tuesday with CA, and made me dizzy, headache even though i have constant headaches, it was way worse, he was like theres no side effects etc, damn well is!! :)

I wonder if it's significant that my headache is on the same side as the injection site. Even my ear, glands, and molars hurt. Hope the ibuprofen helps! I agree, this headache is way worse than your run of the mill headache. Drinking lots of water to try to flush it out of my system. Not sure if that will work or not.

sure it will, lots of water is the best thing since most headaches are caused from dehydration :)

Its the CA as far as I am concerned and drink lots of water, I found that good as well.
