On Tuesday, My husband and I are going to Hawaii. For 9 whole days. I have a sister who lives on the big island and we are going to take advantage of that. :D

So Aloha everyone! And i hope i get a nice tan.

Has anyone else ever been to any of the islands?

I've never been out of Australia but Hawaii would be a great place to go visit. Hope you & your hubby have a great vacation.
 
I would love to visit Australia one day too! But, right now I'm cold and i cant wait to feel some sun and sand on my face and bum ;)

That's' great! You'll love it there :) I was fortunate enough to live in Kailua-Kona on the Big Island for about a year (don't want to say how long ago :P) Lots of gorgeous beaches, all sorts of landscapes from desert-like conditions to full on tropical rainforests, and everything in between. There's even sometimes snow on top of the two main mountains. Lots to do and see...but there are also many great places to just hang out and relax :) Have fun!:yippee::brock:

Iv'e never been myself ,but it sounds great,i hope you and your husband have a good time,remember to tell us all about it when you get back.(Don't suppose you could smuggle little old me there to?) :)
 
Crash, if you can find room in my suitcase, then the more the merrier. You will have to share space with my 12 yr old and a couple co-workers, and some clients. But if your flexible.... ;)

We don't get much sun over here in Scotland,so yeah i guess i can be flexible,il'l be anything you want to fit in that suitcase!!!
 
Have a great time! I'm jealous, would love to visit Hawaii someday. Snorkeling must be terrific there...
 
Have fun!!! I use to deploy with a couple of units out of Hawaii. So I have been there a lot for work. I recommend hitting up the star parties at the Mauna Kea...you get to see so many cool things. When I was there we saw the clouds on Mars and rings of Saturn. Really cool stuff. Plus free hot cocoa. =)
Also check out if you can do a snuba trip. That's part scuba, part snorkel. You get to go about 15ft down with an air tank floating on the surface. It's really fun!!
For a sure fire way to snorkel with turtles, head over to Richardson Ocean park and just swim out in the waves and you will be with some turtles. One was the size of mini-cooper. Almost ran into him. =)
