It's very possible you've never remembered parts of your seizure but were never aware of it and are just becoming aware of it now.

I've learned that's what happened to me. I had nice short seizures when I was always aware of my surroundings until one day someone (who knew I had seizures) looked at me & nodded as if to say "is it over?" & I nodded back "yes".

It wasn't until later did I wonder how they knew I was having such a mild seizure and apparently my body did a few things I wasn't aware of.

That's pretty scarry.

I always wanted to know what it was like when I had a seizure and my husband videoed me with his phone once. It wasn't a grand mal or like the one that you have on here. He got me to sit down in one place but I kept grabbing stuff and he would take it off of me. I got a pillow in a pillow case and kept trying to put it on my foot like it was a sock. I wouldn't give it to him. He figured that I couldn't hurt myself with that so he let me keep it until I came out of the seizure.

I'll have maybe one grand mal a year but I do have just about all the other types. The last grand mal I had I was awake through it. My body froze up then my legs started to shake. I remember everything that everyone was saying while I had it but I couldn't answer the questions. I knew the answers - my name, where I was, who they were - but I just couldn't say them no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't control any part of my body. I even remember them saying they were going to call an ambulance and listen to them talking to the person on 911.

It's sort of ironic that the dog was right there through the whole thing. My cat will do that too. I don't know if he paces around me while the seizure is going on or not but when I come out of it he sits on top of me and won't move until he thinks it's ok for me to do so.
