Hello,
Well today I went to see my Neurologist regarding my results from my week EEG. The results showed nothing, though wasn’t too surprised because I had a quiet week regarding seizure activity. It did show some spikes but nothing out of the ordinary. All I found out today was information I already knew i.e. I have epilepsy and anxiety / slight depression which are not related though both can trigger each other off – if I am anxious I may get a seizure, if I have a seizure I will probably get anxious. I will need to increase my tablets which I already knew - was told by my other Neurologist. I had a blood test which I have already had but wont get the results back until July and I was meant to have an ECG but the man who did them wasn’t in. Typical! I was told I have a heart problem but I still don’t know what. I think I have either First-Degree Heart Block or Second-Degree Heart Block, Mobitz Type I. Has anyone else got Second-Degree Heart Block, Mobitz Type I? If so how is it being treated? Thank you. All in all I am a bit fed up because I feel nothing is yet being sorted i.e. regarding my anxiety etc.
Yippee break up tomorrow for the Easter Holidays. Can't wait. :woot:
Best Wishes
Debbie

Omega 3 is recommended for both heart problems and neurological health. You might look into it. My daughter is 120 lbs and her nutritionist suggested supplementing with about 3000 mg./day.

Magnesium is also known to be helpful with relaxing the nervous system.

And it would be great if the Omega3s come from flax oil (as opposed to fish oil), since the fish oil manufacturers have seriously depleted the stocks of the fish they use (menhaden).

There seems to be some mixed results with fish oil. This study suggested that normal doses may not make a difference. The data isn't in yet for higher doses. Their advice is if you are on it and it seems to help you, keep going despite the data.

Fish oil has a drug interaction if you are on Dilantin, aderall, warfarin, aspirin, or a list of other drugs.
There are a bunch of possible interactions, so it doesn't hurt to check with your epi to make sure it is okay with what you are on:
