I'm just curious to know, do Narcoleptics have seizures?
I watched a movie, this guy had Narcolepsy, it looked as he trembled and dozed off.

Just a curious question??

Billy :) :ponder:

Narcolepsy actually comes from the Greek words for "numbness" and "seizure". It's somewhat related to epilepsy, in that someone with narcolepsy can suddenly have all their muscles go stiff and fall and fall asleep, somewhat like an atonic or "drop seizure". And sometimes people with epilepsy also have narcolepsy. But they aren't the same thing, and people with narcolepsy don't exhibit the same abnormal brainwaves that people with epilepsy do.

I was about to start a thread about narcolepsy, but this has answered my question. I'm mentally dropping out for (what I think is) a second or two at a time, and wondered if it was narcolepsy. It doesn't look like it is.

Thanks Billyboyboo and Nak.
