I had a crazy experience a few days ago. I have JME and I had a grand mal the other day, but afterwards I couldn't stop throwing up. I was so dizzy I couldn't walk or even stand. I vomited about 30 times in 3 hours. I was really, really dizzy too. And have been ever since on and off.

Usually, after a seizure I of course feel out of it and tired, but it's never been this extreme.

Is it common to have been vomiting this much and to still be dizzy?

Have you checked with your neurologist? My son usually vomits and is dizzy after a tonic clonic grand mal) seizure but it hasn't lasted as long as yours.

Please check with your neurologist.

That sounds awful im so sorry, I think calling the Dr. would be a good idea. Until then I wish the best for you.

I'd defently call your dr about this. I've never had that happen but everyone is different. However throwing up that much doesn't seem right. I just have a horrible headache and I'm very tired. I'll usually sleep much of the day after too.

Any chance you also have the flu? Maybe go see your primary care Dr as well. Recently they thought I was having an allergic reaction to my med. Turned out to be strep and the flu at once. Maybe this is like that. A combo of a bad seizure and something else... Good luck.

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I'm going to my neurologist next week, but feel a lot better!

i have vomited after my last one but if it does keep up u need go get it checked

Did you hit your head during your seizure???? When I had my last big seizure I was vomiting and was so dizzy for days after and I had to go to the dr.It was a form of vertigo from hitting my head so hard.

I've never vomited, but considering the variety of post-ictal we all experience it's not that far-fetched. What is tho is the amount of times, that's defo reason to call the doc, good to hear you've already got an appt. Like Kirsty said, did you hit your head? I've smashed my head a couple times (once tile floor once hardwood), and felt like SHIT after. When I hit the hardwood I was more out of it after than I've ever been. All I really knew was that I was alive and breathing, other than that no coherency. Very dizzy and couldn't move or I would have fallen again.
Like I say all that really sounds out of sorts to me is the amount of times you got sick; pls keep us posted after seeing your neuro!
