My father-in-law is having gall bladder surgery tomorrow morning. He was diagnosed with bladder cancer about 3 years ago. He was given about a year to live at that time. Recently, we were told that his cancer has progressed into his bones and throughout his entire body. He was given 3 months to live. Right now, it has about 1 1/2 months since we were told this. Right now, his body is not making platelets so he will not be able to continue his chemotherapy. Please pray that he makes it through this surgery. My worst fear is that he is not going to make it, although he is a very stubborn person.

Miracles happen... my prayers will be with you and your family.

Thank you so very much Robin. Off to bed now, need to be at the hospital very early in the morning. Please also pray that if God so chooses to take him now, that he accepts Jesus as his Savior first.

Im off 6pm mass, so i will light a candle and say a prayer for your father in law.

God bless your family
Cheryl

The surgery went fine. The doctor said that if he would've had one more Chemo, it would've burst. There definitely is power in prayer. Thank you everyone for all your prayers.

Hi Laura,

I am so glad it went well.. I will still keep him in my prayers...I know the power of prayer is AMAZING!!!! : )))

Hugs,
Michelle

God Bless!

Laura,

I missed the pre-surgery prayer, but he is in my thoughts/prayers now for sure. So are you and your family.

If it is God's will that he pass away in the near future, know that he will be greeted by someone very special. :e:

I will be grilling out with my sister today who has the lymphoma. She is doing well right now, but it breaks my heart when we celebrate holidays and I don't know how many more she may have.

Take care and know your friends are here for you,
Buckeye

Thank you everyone. Please continue to pray that he heals with no complications. This the third time that he has been in the hospital in the last month. I just pray that he does not suffer with too much pain before the cancer takes his life. I know that his last chemo treatments were keeping his pain down. I know that even the pain killers have not been helping him very much lately. It's so hard to watch a person in their 50's die.

Thank you again so very much. Everyone here is such wonderful support for me with everything. God bless you all!
