Hi Nat0511,
Welcome to Coping-W-Epilepsy!

Im sorry to hear your going through seizures and the doc not being able to find out why. It took a while before I was diagnosed too. For many years I experienced seizures too,but they were so mild they went unrecognized even after seeing numerous specialists, they were ponded off as migraines,a pinched nerve, clumsiness, adhd and/or as being normal. Though that all changed after experiencing a grand-mal in school and being rushed to the ER. After, reading your second post on what you experience durring a seizure and what triggers them lately. It sounds to me you possibly might have some form of Photosensitive Epilepsy with grand-mal/convulsive seizures. Which is common in Photosensitive Epilepsy. If you dont mind me asking you a few questions, and if too personal you dont have to answer.
1)Do you experience any auras or "warning signs" days before or right before your seizures?(Ex a grotesque smell or taste,a breeze on your skin, hear buzzing/ringing or voice, disortions in the ways things look, sudden feelings of fear, anger, joy or nausea..etc.)
2)Do you experience any sudden jerking like if an electric shock went through your body(ex sudden jump you may get at night when falling asleep but your awake, drop things/knock things over,fall/trip,throw something) or blackout for brief moments(spaceout/daydream)?
3)Are you bothered by flickering light(ex strobes, the sun flickering through a row of trees/on water or on snow),bright light(ex flourescent lighting or the sun shinning),certain patterns(ex stripes),sitting close to a tv/or projector screen in light or darkness and/or using computers with old crt screens?
I ask these questions because they connect with Photosensitive Epilepsy, which is one of the types of epilepsy I have myself. To help you I would suggest you make a diary of your seizures like Nakamova said. This will help you and your doc. In some seizure disorders they sometimes can occur at a certain time of day or certain months, durring certain types of environments/activities,certain foods..etc. Another thing I would suggest is to try to wear a pair of blue tinted glasses/if you dont have any blue tinted glasses try sunglasses this will reduce the flicker/flash.I was recommended this by my neurologist when I use to be severely effected by flashing light. It helped a lot for me.
Best of wishes!
