Hi

I have recently been looking into neurofeedback and I am firtunate to have been able tiger a appointment with a practitioner not far from home, I wanted to know if anyone here have done it and what their perception of it is.

As previously posted my 5 year old son is on 3 meds at once and I'm looking for a better way to control his absence seizures.

Any input is appreciated :)

im going to be looking into it as well.robin on my friends list idk how often she is on can give you more info

Thanks for that as you know any info we can get about these sorts of things are always agood help.

I tell you it's changed my perception of people after being here about a week because I never realised there were so many people with this awful disease and to be able to rant and vent and to also try to help others in here have been an awesome experience. Its always good to know that we can collectively fight for E and not be a lone person trying to get the point across.

Hi Stacey, my wife used EEG neurofeedback with great success. She completely eliminated her absense seizures after 5-6 months of neurofeedback. There are other benefits to neurofeedback - clarity of thought, better memory recall, shorter recovery time from (other types of) seizures, etc. I encourage anyone who has the opportunity and means to explore neurofeedback. If you go for it, please let us know how it works out for your son.
