Neurologist Appointment

Yes, there are a number of things that can cause memory issues and some meds can effect memory. Personally, I had a lot of brain damage from having thousands of seizures and my neurologist said that is the reason I have memory problems. My MRI showed severe atrophy in my left temporal lobe. My left Hippocampus which controls verbal memory had shrunk about 50%. Now that I had that part of the brain removed the memory issues are even worse.

I need to call my neurologist's assistant tomorrow. I didn't or neglected to tell them about an incident that happened about two months ago where I all of a sudden realized I was half way into the next lane while driving. I more or less kept that one to myself except for sharing it here with a few others. I also have these "yawning" spells usually late afternoon on my way home from work. It usually seems to start as a yawn but continues over a minutes or so with just the motion of yawning. I don't have the deep breathing typical of yawning just the jaw movement.

I will call her tomorrow. She said they can't take care of me unless I tell them of even the little things.

Not sure why I feel apprehensive (good thing for spell check as I just spelt that wrong) about calling her. She is awesome to deal with, positive and has an infectious smile.

Another week and I have my sleep deprived EEG and another month after that I have my 3T MRI. I got my sleep apnea test results back. They said it appears that I have "minor" sleep apnea when sleeping on my back, no other sleeping position. Nothing really to do but sleep on my side and they told me to where my bite guard.
