My son is now engaged!

He proposed to her (we had it all set up on
"Black Friday" so when we were up at 3 AM,
since my mom gave me some money to get
some clothing for us during the bargain times
as she would rather "sleep") ... and here his
soon-to-be fiancee having not a clue! While
this was all an "act" (while he over-did it) he
was crankier than the "Grinch" - *laughing*.
So I had "enough" of him, and sent them "both"
home, but his girl having not a clue what was
going on, was sulking! She wanted to STAY!
While my son with his over-done crankiness;
yak-yak-yak, mumble-grumble, whine, gripe,
yadda, yadda, yadda ... *laughing* they took
off on their bikes heading home, while I took
the money that he earned from painting his
dad's house with one hand (he still has a broken
arm from a very bad accident) and went over
to the other store to buy the engagement ring.
:evil2:
Then I came home, and his girl was sitting there
:::: sulking ::::
And of course my son, still in his "Royal Attitude"
about me sending them HOME! (Still being a set-up)
I made him put my bicycle in my room, and there
he got the ring, and he ran off his mouth and went
into the bathroom and "I" was standing there in the
Living Room while his - "soon-to-be" proposed girl-
friend was still giving me that "eye" and sulking!
*laughing*
She had NOT a clue what was coming!

So once my son came out, all dressed up, sharp as
a tack, she had no idea what this was all about! He
knelt before her, and told her, how much he loved
her and asked her "would you marry me?" and opened
the ring ...
She was stunned!
*laughing*
It took her a long time for her to catch her breath!
As this totally caught her off-guard! (Got to LOVE IT!)
She was lost for words, she didn't know if she was
to laugh, cry, or what - then finally said "YES!" and
still sat there completely stunned!
I was still standing there, now laughing and my son
was now laughing ... then after about an hour when
the "shock wave" waned off, she then realized this
all was a "set-up"!

She is never going to forget what happened on Black
Friday at 5:30 AM! My son was watching the clock as
he wanted it to be on the "dot"!
No date set, (and no, it's not a shot-gun), everyone
has been expecting this to happen for some time now.
Even now, she still can't get over how all this was planned,
and typically that both son and his mother were both
involved in it! *laughing* (Well, someone had to get
the ring without her knowing it)
What's so cute is, it's almost like every 5 to 10 seconds
she's looking at that ring ... and I've made the habit of
telling her "don't look, it's still attached to your finger!"
*laughing*
