I am a mother also and I know how hard it is to adjust to new medication while trying to take care of your children and day to day life. It is always hard to start a new seizure medication. It is always easier to give up than to push through the side effects. I have been battle seizures for 16 years. The previously used medications were a lot harsher than the new ones out today. I have never found a medication to control my seizures, so I have been off and on many different kinds. When I lost my lisence I went through a depression period. I felt worthless and had to rely on others to take me everywhere. I am unable to work due to the severity and unpredictablility of my seizures. My best advice to you is to stay strong, and do not be afraid to tell your doctor that you want to try a different medication. Most people are afraid to tell doctors things, but remember you are paying them- they work for you. I sought out Therapy to cope with my feelings and it was the best thing I ever did. I learned many things about myself and how strong I truly am. Good Luck to you : )
