Our Animal Welfare org has its own political forum and its very different. Still i will learn as i get some time to explore the site.

Yes, your Dr is everything not only for that but everybody. If you can find one who sits and talks its half the battle.

How long have you had the problem. ? It appears rather unpredictable appearing at all age levels. I have a good friend who is a Dr and he said they number one factor is stress. I know the surgery idea might be kind of scary but by gee girl if you can get it imop go for it.

Dont know anything about Canada but I know USA have been doing it for years with 90% success rates.
Your lucky your not trying to get the operation done here in AU - they really are behind the eight ball here.

Not sure where that comment is about the other lady Claire- but may i say i agree. That sounds totally unfair.

Plenty of people drive with medication I recall helping my friend years ago buy a car for her daughter Natasha. So if the Dr hasn't even put her on medication but wont clear her to drive-- Agreed a bit fishy and very unfair to her.

I too hope she goes to another Dr.

We also do a bit of work with disabled kids through our Animal Welfare org.

The parents say it makes a world of difference . I guess animals are very relaxing.

Do let us know about your operation . As I said all i know is they have had great results in USA.

If he just wipes his hands clean we say hes not doing his job.u have to leave if he releases u in the states with a license ces back u have E he can be liable.happened in my sisters case im not sayimg it doesnt sound fishy but can be a catch 22 for a dr. here
 
Been doing some reading up about celiac disease and am wondering if it's a possibility. I read that undiagnosed celiac can lead to problems in pregnancy including placenta abruptions as well as growth restriction and low birth weight babies. All 3 of my childres were low birth weight. I had a partial abruption with my first, growth restriction with my second and a massive abruption with my 3rd. Just a thought but wondering if it's connected somehow.

As I'm in the UK and its the good old NHS, it's a case of waiting. I have an appointment for my EEG on 7th September. They think my MRI will be on 17th september. I have asked to see the neurologist again as he didn't want to see me unless I have another seizure. After reading all your lovely comments I realise that this is just not good enough. I can't live with the fear of it may or may not happen again. For the sake of my children and trying to lead a normal life, I want to consider going on medication as a preventative measure. I know that there are side effects to the medicine but I feel the benefits so outweigh the risks.

With the driving issue, in the UK, it is 6 months off driving for a single seizure unless a cause can be found and treated. As no one has actually looked for a cause, I come under the 6 month restriction. Im trying not to get stressed about the driving issue but an sad that I can't be a normal mum and take my kids to school etc.
