i take lamictal, keppra and frism (the frism has stopped the fits) but i feel like lisafaz and i read the side effects i got like 80% of them considering i take 3 kinds of meds thats memory loss, concentration and others x 3. i get depressed and then i feel like i'm going to cry been taking the lamictal for around 10 years keppra 6 years and frism 3 years. i'm 26 but i feel and act like a 16 year old, is it the meds i'm taking or is it just me

I've been on medications all my life & I used to wonder the same thing... is my personality really MY personality or is it the medications personality. I've finally come to the conclusion that the medication is a part of who I am.
That said it does sound like it's the lamictal. You've been on it for 10 years & you feel and act like you're 10 years younger. You are lucky-I'm sure a lot of the older people on this site (or anywhere for that matter) would love to feel 10 years younger.
I also gave you your own thread so that people can reply without it getting too confusing as to whether they're answering you or lisafaz.

Those side effects meds are really tough. If you feel like the combo you're on isn't working for you because of the side effects, then it's worth bringing it up with your doctor.
You might want to look into alternatives like neurofeedback, or special diets -- they can potentially help you to reduce the amount of meds that you require.

You can search for info about the different diets using the search tab at the top. Some of the diets include the GARD diet, and the MAD diet.
The diets might allow you to lower your dose somewhat, which then in turn would potentially reduce the side effects. (Consult with your doc before lowering any doses, and make sure that if you do get the greenlight to taper down, that you do so verrrrry slowly).
With the Keppra, consider taking a B Complex vitamin with B6 in it -- that can help with the moods. Make sure your overall nutrition and hydration is good -- it can only help.

i went to see the epileptic nurse and she said the only diet is the ketogenic diet, i said what i've put on this forum and she is going to send me to a counciler, if it goes any further i'll see a neuroloaist (can't spell) i mentioned the guard and mad and she said no to them, I mentioned that i'm on the max dose of the meds and she allowed me to slowly lower the dosage 
she said to write down what i do each day so i've setup a blog, so i can write down the stuff i want to say (keeps me busy and thinking about what to say).

Some in the medical profession are ignorant of the diest, some are reluctant to consider them until there are large studies done with lots of data. But individuals here on CWE have found that they helped. You can read with RobinN's blog for info on how a gluten-free diet has helped her daughter.
The diets aren't right for everyone, but they can make a difference for some. Studies have shown a link between a certain percentage of seizure disorders, and those with gastrointestinal problems/gluten allergies.

Hi Ben,
A lot of foods now, have the name Gluten Free on the name of the box, jar or others. For instance, my son bought a cereal and it says Gluten Free on it. He asked me if it was all right. He had never heard of the term before. It is Corn Chex.
My husband went to the store to buy me non fat milk. There was not any. He bought me Lactaid, it is Lactose free. It is also a non fat milk. I will see if I am allergic to lactose. A lot of people are.
