Hi everyone. Took me about an hour to learn how to post first thread so as you can guess i'm just becoming computer friendly. My name is Alan and I have Temporal lobe epilepsy over 30 years. I'm now 47.
Its only in the last month that I've started reaching out and looking for help. By ringing a local epilepsy helpline ( I rang up about chronic tiredness) i got advice to change from tegretol to tegretol retard which hopefully will improve things. I'm running dublin marathon in october and am determined to accept my illness but also not let it hold me back from living a 'normal' life. Sorry, i'm rabbiting on a bit. Any advice on how to write or talk on these forums would be greatly appreciated as this is the first time i've done anything like this

Hi Alan, welcome! And don't worry, you'll get the hang of things soon enough. :D

hello

Alan! Keep at it, I know what you mean, I am older than you and I can get around on the computer just enough to be functional. Good for you and the marathon coming up! We have to try to live our lives to the fullest extent even with E.
So welcome, and I hope you find this place as welcoming as the rest of us do.
