I was introduced to this site a few months back by my mom after I had my first seizure back in February. I had my first tonic clonic seizure on February 25th 2012. I was quite frightened, figuring I thought I had just fell asleep, until I woke up in an ambulance on the way to the hospital. I was sort of happy that I was at a friends sumber party at the time and they were all still awake. There is a history of Epilepsy in my family. My father, my brother, my grandma, and my grandma's sisters all have/had Epilepsy. My father and my brother had their first seizure when they were 15, just like me. I didn't know very much about Epilepsy and still don't know a whole lot. This site has helped me understand how people deal with all this and still is.

Hi kaitlyn, welcome to CWE!

I hope you feel free to wander around the different forums here, and post and ask questions as the mood strikes.

Best,
