Has the infection gone away?

Hi Bernard!!!!!

Sorry I never answered your question... can I blame it on my brain space.....hehehe..... I dont think me being vague is fixable.... or for that matter Im pretty certain they couldnt possible make it any worse.... Im stuck with that one for ever I am sure!!!

See already written a paragraph, and still no answer... lol... The infection cleared up, he was a bit stubburn.. but it could of contracted that from its host. I was the most happy chappy!!!!:woot::banana:
I looked sunburnt.... I was continusly covered from head to toe in sweat the nurses had me in a bath and wen i wasnt in the bath had me covered in cooling towels... but they wouldnt stay cool long enough..... I didnt know it was possible to sweat that much..... I woke up after a nanny nap (quick snooze) & asked dad why he washed my hair ( it was wet from sweating) & if he had to he could at least dry it and re do it! dad started laffin.... and for some reason I started crying.... no idea why.... i wasnt upset!!!
just delusional i think...... Dad said it was just more funny as I am pretty much a tom boy and I was asking him to do my hair I wouldnt normally care at all what I looked like let alone notice my hair needed doing.
So it must have been one good infection I ended up taking 3 different antibiotics but Im allergic to the one they wanted to use and they were worried i would react to the ones that were the most similar. but it all worked out.... and it all finished in a good spot so thats the main thing..... I am much much luckier then alot, not to have and severe complications... so all thats left to do is smile and thank everyone that helpedme get to the end and be so so so so happy I climbed the mountain and made it to the otherside!!!

thankyou
Take care special people

Glad to see your back Tate. It's great to know your surgery was a success. Please keep us updated with each milestone. Like everyone else, I wish you 110% seizure free success! :)

Hello Everyone,
I thought I would place an update, I am still seizure free, which is so so amazing for me to have gone anywhere near this long, pretty much unbelievable.

I am off probably mon or tues so around the 7-8th going to my dads and then we are both going back to syd for my first post op check up...... Cant wait to see what they have to say.

I havnt had many side effects besides what was told I would have, but my memory has been giving me a fair bit of trouble, which is weird to deal with, especially if you cant remember the easiest things, I couldnt remember my ex bf name y'day.... that was a bit scary I hope it doesnt get worse....

But I couldnt be more happy and I don't have complaints.... When I come back from my check ups I will give you all a update...

I hope everyone had a special christmas and a great NY'sand will be followed by an amazing yeah ahead.

Tate

That is just awesome Tate. What a wonderful present you have given yourself.
I know it isn't the same at all, but sometimes when I can't remember something (which happens more times lately than I would like to admit)... I tell myself that I am asking too much of my brain at that moment. So I take a breath and stay with the effort of trying to remember, but I work around in circles to think of other words that will relate to the word that I am trying to recall. I think it is worse when people are watching me try to remember. When it is something that I am writing I can slow down and take a moment to concentrate. It is different when I am talking and I forget. I just laugh about it usually and within a few minutes the word usually comes back to me. Sometimes not.

Don't you think we expect ourselves to remember and maintain such a wide selection of information in our brain these days. I see kids even having difficulty with this too. I think it is almost like a hard drive crash. We have to reboot sometimes.

So how long have you been seizure free now?

So how long have you been seizure free now?

Hi Robin,

I havn't had a seizure since my second operation, well we don't think. I woke up not feeling all that great this morning though, I had bitten my tounge in my sleep and it was pretty bad they had to glue it... least they didnt stitch it.... It got me wandering why it didnt wake me up especially seens it was a severe chunk i managed to bite and i was pretty slow and tired, but i didnt have the sore tired body....

So I told my doctor that i must not have had one.... and thats how I am gooing to think it..... keep the positiveness happening...

so its been about 6 weeks since I have had a seizure... and for me thats unheard of... Yay Yay Yay:woot:

I havnt been too worried well upset at about most stuff I havn't been able to remember but when I couldn't remember my ex partners name whom I had spent three years with... that was a little freaky.. and that was in conversation.... I just told them I was having a CRAFT moment ...... hope this isnt offensive to say it means I cant remember a friggin thing....

I am sure I will come up with ways to deal with it better when I have gotten used to it.....

Thankyou for sharing your tips....

Take Care
Tate xx

Way to go!

:woot: :woot: :woot:

That's awesome news to hear Tate!

:)

Wonderful Tate .... just wonderful!! :)

I have that memory problem too and the name part is really difficult when you're facing someone and need it. I even try to keep quiet when I'm in a family group or any group of people .... I know I'm going to talk too slowly and stumble for words. Or I just make stupid mistakes LOL

Anyhow -- my docs say that speaking problem will slowly improve.

Tate,

I'm so very glad for you that you're doing so well after the surgery. I hope it keeps going well for you......I'm sure the memory problems will eventually ease up. Just give some time......How very cool!
