It’s time for me to try a sticker 😔
If I can’t sleep I’ve been putting a ZYN nicotine pouch in. Problem is I started falling asleep with it still in. 😬. I discovered it accidentally when I woke up with one in my mouth still. I was a bit horrified.
Many issues with this! Choking is a possibility obviously. Although the pouch is very small. Plus after years of chewing tobacco. There’s a spot it kinda fits in. Sorry if that’s TMI and kinda gross.
I’ve only used the nicotine pouch for the last few years. I stopped using tobacco, so I hope the nicotine patch works. Only time I’ve tried one is in the hospital after a surgery. I was so out of it at the time. I’m not sure if it did anything.
It’s an embarrassing way to control the insomnia, but it works really well.

Is the patch working for you?

After a small amount of research. I’ve decided that the patch is a bad idea. I’ll be addicted to both probably. The patch is designed for quitting.
It did force me to read a lot about quitting. The smartest option 😏

can I ask if you are smoking and trying to quit? If not, you might want to consider trying melatonin as that is the natural herb which the body makes every time we fall to sleep. A suggestion I was given from my local pharmacist is to go with 1 mg by Nature Made or Nature's Bounty as they are both USP. I also suggest speaking with your specialist should you need melatonin for more than 2 days as there could be something else taking place that is keeping you from sleep.

What I have done is started to drink iced chamomile or iced chamomile sleep tea at night since we are in summer time. I have a Keurig so can make it rather quick but I also discovered a way to make it fast by using a 10 minute brew using just one tea bag in so much water then adding the rest of water to large mug then adding in ice afterward. If memory serves me, I entered in the question how to make iced tea with one tea bag in Google then got an answer. I was happy with the detail break down.

I’m not trying to quit. I should, but I don’t see that happening. These nicotine pouches are too easy.
We used to give my daughter melatonin before bed many years ago. I did have luck with Magnesium for a while.
I can sleep, just can’t keep a consistent schedule.
I’d like to try and stop eating sugar earlier in the evening. Bye Bye summer ice cream 🍦
