So I just got out of the hospital after staying in the epilepsy monitoring unit. I was told that the seizures that I had were non epileptic. I am so confused and don't know where to turn. Has anyone else had this done and was told the same thing?

Nakamova, if you could invent a new EEG... you'd be rich :)

C-comardelle, non E seizures is confusing. I've been trying to figure it out as well. Check out the links nakamova gave you. It will help clear things up.

c comardelle,.. I had in hospital monitoring in South Australia and my seizures, I believe are 'non epileptic' or Pseudoseizures or even psychogenic they are not normal. in approx 1 month time I should get to see a psychiatrist and he is going to work hand in hand with my neurologist so I can have a new mix of drugs including way less epilepsy drugs and a anxiety drug to help me afterall anxiety causes my seizures and the seizure comes out when i finally relax again each time as I live a very tense/stressed life.

I wish! The technology is steadily improving, let's hope the docs improve as well...
