I am aware that a living will is not legally protected. So if my family chooses to do different than my living will then the hospital will do what they say. Idk if it's like this everywhere. But what are your thoughts? Should I see a lawyer?

Hi finalpoet,

If I were in your place I would ask a lawyers advice about the living will. I know when I was in the hospital in the past before surgery I had to have one written up but then I had my husband sign it also as a witness that way nobody could change things around. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
