I just wanted get some reactions to this.

Has anyone ever had someone threaten because of there E ?
Have they ever had there child with held from them? I answer questions on another forum and one woman said she is threatening to with hold her child's right to see his daughter because she doesn't think he takes his meds.I told her that wouldn't hold up in court, and that he had the right to see her and I'm waiting for a response.:soap:

I don't really see how having epilepsy should keep someone from their child. It certainly would not hold up in court. And how could you prove someone doesn't take their medication, anyway?

The whole story seems like someone is really digging for excuses to keep their kids from someone they don't like anymore. Does having E make you a bad person? No, but your actions as a human being might. Still, there's way too much bias in a context like that. Epilepsy is not the reason.

If they don't think that he is taking his meds have blood work done to prove that he is.

I can see a situation where if a person was a single parent with no others living in the house and the child involved was an infant and the person had really severe and frequent seizures, it might be seen as a health risk to the child from getting dropped on their head.

Otherwise it sounds pretty thin.

I have never personally heard of anything like this. I went through an ugly break up and custody battle in Tucson, AZ and I'm not sure how things work in Georgia, but, if he is taking his meds, following up with his doctor, having his levels checked which is normal practice for most E meds to verify therapeutic levels, and has a local friend/family support system, there would be no judge or jury in the U.S. that would keep his kids from him based on his E alone. If there are other circumstances involved, who knows
