Hi Kelly, that is so fantastic!! I am speechless, what great news.

I had to get off of my Tegretol and it was very, very uneventful. I do not think Aiden will have any problems.

Hi again! Well we have been reducing Aiden's tegretol very very slowly and he is still doing well thank goodness. Only a few days left and he will be off the tegretol all together. Meeting with his dr this week for a check up and discuss the next step I guess. We don't think he will want to remove him from the keppra just yet though, he will be happy enough that he is off the tegretol. Will let you know what the dr says.

I think things will go smooooothly. It really gives me hope for Alex. If you don't want to get to excited yet I will for you. ;]. Teresa

I'm excited now! I'm excited that despite all his seizures as a baby he has managed to not have any lasting effects from them. The dr said after we got them under control that it was always a possibility that could have happened yet he was always optimistic with Aiden. Both the dr and his daycare say that he is advanced for his age so we are so thankful for that.

awww that's wonderful!! I know first hand how good that feels! Praying it continues and he grows in knowledge and development in leaps and bounds

Kelly, I am so happy for you!! He is getting off the tegretol successfully. That is great news.:clap:

Saw the dr today. He is very happy with Aiden. He is going to leave him on the Keppra until december when he has been seizure free for 2 years and then gradually take him off that over a 4 month period. He said he believes that because all his tests were clear of any cause for his seizures that they probably won't return. Woohoo!!!!!
On a crappy note it appears Blake is following in Aiden's milk allergy footsteps, let's hope they are the only footsteps he will follow.
