Hello everyone! I'm not quite new here but I am looking for some advice. I was diagnosed with E in September, went for the MRI and EEG in October. I recieved a letter from my neurologist saying that the MRI was normal but the EEG showed seizure activity and that we would discuss it more during my next appointment. My next appointment is Monday! I've been taking Keppra since my T/C and have experianced some "Kepprage" but its nothing too horrible... but (and this is a little hard to explain) I've always had these litte ticks I guess you might call them, where I lose control and jerk a little usually in my arms and legs and my face more recently. I'm not sure what they are, but I've had them for more than 10 yrs... but they seem to increase in length and frequency lately... does this sound neurological? Is this something I shoud mention? Could this be a side effect of Keppra?

definitely something you should mention to your neuro , as this could be seizure activity ( is for me ) im sure you will get more educated advice from other members but thats my simple input
 
Good luck with your appt Mnm.
As Ladybug suggested I think you should definitely mention it to your neurologist as he should be able to tell you if it is seizure related or something else.
 
It never hurts to give the neurologist "extra" info -- it's their job to determine whether it's relevant or not. And you might want to write down any questions you have beforehand to make sure you cover everything during the appointment. Write down the answers too!

Let us know how things go tomorrow.
 
I had my appointment yesterday! He said that the twitches are myclonic, simply stressed related. He also said that my epilepsy was one of the easiest cases that he's had recently, treated with the first drug we tried (Keppra) and that if I can stay seizure free for a full year it may be possible to wean off the meds!
