To my CWE Friends,

I have asked Nak to close my account. Since accepting the PNES diagnosis I am trying to remove things in my life that remind me of seizures and the way my life was with them. Unfortunately that means CWE. I have made numerous friends from all around the world. Friendships I'll never forget. Most of you where there for me as I went through a messy divorce. Most of you felt the same rage I did when I got the petition and my ex wanted me to have supervised visitation with my daughter. As I've stated before in a post I am better friends with most of you than I am with most of my Facebook Friends. Hopefully I can get to a point where I can use my experiences with epilepsy to advocate for those who feel like they don't have a voice or help educate those who don't understand this disorder. So in closing You will all be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you nothing but the best in the future.

Best regards,

Brian

Brian --

I will miss you and your many contributions to the CWE community! I won't close your account (or have Bernard close it) until your friends here have had a chance to say goodbye.

Here's to the next phase of your life: May it be the radiantly happy and healthy one that you so richly deserve.

awww pita you will be missed :(
moving on is a very strong decision and speaks volumes about how much better you're getting... that's great. biggest hugs ever and all the best on your next chapter.
we'll be thinkin' of ya...

Hi, Pita
Never really new you, but I wish you the best of luck. A diagnosis of PNES is the biggest fear/anxiety of a lot of people with normal test results and atypical seizures. Care to share how your doctors arrived at this conclusion in your case? I understand your desire to shut things off with this website now that you have this diagnosis, but you could also be a great support to those who have been given this diagnosis! Again, good luck to you!

I am sorry to see you go from C.W.E. you will be missed. Best of luck in your future.

Pita, I'm sorry that you will be leaving. I hope that some day you will return when you feel the time is right. I'm wishing you all the best with your health and your daughter. I know what it's like to deal with an ex who inappropriately uses our health situation against us and it just makes me sad and angry especially for our kids. Take care, many good thoughts are coming your way.

I just now saw this thread.

... Since accepting the PNES diagnosis I am trying to remove things in my life that remind me of seizures and the way my life was with them. Unfortunately that means CWE. ...

I hope that the past tense there turns out to be correct! I wish you all the best Brian and respect the need to break away at times.

Just to be clear though, folks with a PNES diagnosis are very welcome here at CWE. Anyone dealing with seizures, whether PNES, epilepsy or some other issue, are welcome here.

A quick update

After careful consideration I have decided instead of closing the account I will take a hiatus. Thank you for all the well wishes. I will beat this and come back and be the expert on this topic. Then come back and use my experience to help others that wind up with this diagnosis.

Take care and may the journey of life be filled with good. Should you return here we will as always be welcome you and enjoy talking to you again.

Way to go, Pita! That takes courage, and I greatly admire you for that. I am beginning to see how common it is to receive this diagnosis, and it can be at least as devastating as the diagnosis of epilepsy. Your support to those with this diagnosis will be invaluable, my friend. Good luck during your hiatus.

thats the spirit pita.....the RIGHT spirit....E or no E, a seizure is a Fín seizure...
