Doea anyone have any experience with NYU Comprehensive Epilepsy center at the Langone Medical Center in NYC? Looking for recommendation and possible doctor at this location. Also if anyone knows a good Epilepsy Center in the NY metro area would appreciate a recommendation.

i was just there on monday. they are very thorough but in my opinion, they have too many patients and it is a little too unfamiliar. my neuro is dr.sheryl haut at montefiore and she is in the top ten drs. she is much more comfortable to be around and she has finally given me a diagnosis and is very helpful. with haut, you are a person, with nyu, you are a patient.
another thing, dr. devinsky at nyu tried to put me on felbitrol and told me that there is a slim chance of aplastic anemia. when we went to haut, she told me that if that happened, it is irreversible. i'm sure they are very good but i was not comfortable. look into montefiore medical center in the bronx.

Thank you for your reply. I am looking for a "comprehensive approach". Facility plus doctor. I am especially looking for a doctor who specializes in epilepsy linked to hormonal issue. I live in north jersey so any doctor/center in north jersey to NYC that someone can recommend. I will look int Dr. Haut. Thanks but still would like others to look into also. Personal experience is a plus. Anyone deal with Dr. French at NYU?
