Hi there---

Been working with the diet to titrate down off of these meds. Anyone have any suggestions as to what works best for them?? I stick with 75-80% raw vegan--DEFINITELY GARD whatever I eat. Here's what I ate thusfar--

Part of a green smoothie (greens and apples)
Raw food bar
1/2 banana

Would love to hear what's helping others.---LMT

*chuckle*

I wish I could say mine was still the GARD diet. Now, I'm on the CELIAC diet. BAH. It's actually more strict....and far more boring.

I eat fresh and flash frozen fruits and veggies. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING CANNED.

Meats....have to be fresh, organic.

Breads. HA. If they are rice based, with ABSOLUTELY NO WHEAT/GLUTEN involved in them, then I can have a slice or two.

Cereal--all rice based, as is pasta.

I'm also lactose intolerant, so that cuts out regular milk.....so off to rice milk I go. I try not to use soy milk, but occasionally someone in the house slips up and buys it instead of the rice milk.

So far, the seizure control is pretty good........I think that there are a few nights where the electrographic E is still rearing its ugly head, but for the most part, I'm doing much better.

Like Meetz said. Anything soy is my big problem right along with anything MSG. I don't seem to be quite as sensitive to gluten, but I'm careful anyway.

Today so far I've eaten

5AM 1/4cp organic whole oats w/a little brown sugar and about 1 teaspoon half-n-half, water to drink
8:30AM Breakfast out with friends at a restaurant: chef salad(yes, for breakfast, LOL), no dressing, water to drink. No crackers.

I've yet to eat lunch. Don't know when or what it'll be today.

In the beginning I would stay away from banana. Stick to non tropical fruits.
Get some coconut oil in there, or maybe coconut yogurt.
Tree nuts are good for a snack.

I had coffee and two homemade gluten free mini muffins.
it is 1:00 and I am feeling I am ready for some lunch.

Are we speaking of coconut yogurt without casein? I know that I have the ice cream made from coconut, but never seen the yogurt. Is there a special name?

I am going to jump on the wagon with you next week. My schedule is changing again, so that I will have my days back to myself (at least a good portion of them). I am going to follow my own advice, and add exercise back into my priorities.

The more, the merrier!

I'll be there and post both my exercise and fitness. Molly---I will post recipes--I promise!---LMT
