Do you think having the open MRI is as good as the closed? I swore the last time I had a closed one I'd never have another. It seemed to trigger seizures. I felt like they were trying to suck my brains out for an hour or longer. My GP wants me to have another MRI & all available here is closed but I don't want to do it. Thanks.

I believe you get much better image quality with the closed models, so it might be worth finding a way to do the closed one if at all possible. Would it help to take a Valium or Ativan before undergoing the scan? Could your doctor contact the MRI techs to discuss options to help make you more comfortable?

iv'e had several closed mri scans for a couple of different reasons and the more you worry the worse it will be for you. book one as soon as you can and just get it out of the way
