So tea is great. It calms you, but does not intoxicate you. With classical music it is great. But too much, well, can be too much. That happened tonight. Might have had some partials with the ear ringing but cannot be sure. But it is not good in any case. Just worth mentioning and talking about. :brain:

Depends on the tea. Was this the kind with caffeine or the herbal kind? Any caffeine, even small amounts is a trigger for me.

Sorry you are not well. I hope you feel better soon.

I am pretty well. I went and did more passive stuff, like watch TV. House of Cards is on Netflix, and I caught Blacklist on DVR and then watched The Breakfast Club. Molly Ringwald was a beauty of her time, but because her last name is so similar to ringworm, well....

Then again, I was born in 1986, but we can all enjoy classics. She's attractive certainly, but the name, well it does mean a lot. A rose by any other name might smell as sweet, but if you called it feces....

But yeah, I destimulated the brain. I think TV likely in large doses must harm the brain. Especially nonsense like Spongebob.

:roflmao: That just made my day!!!!!

I agree with Aloha. For me, too much caffeine will at least trigger pretty strong auras. It stinks because I love my coffee and tea. Same applies to staring at a computer screen or TV for extended periods of time.

I record a lot of music, which requires me to stare at a computer screen for hours on end. I tend to binge watch TV shows even if they are terrible, haha.

I find that having a lamp on near me helps reduce the strain on my eyes. Another big thing that helps is taking 15-20 minute breaks to rest my eyes. I think moderation is the key.

Not sure if it would help with the auras but one thing I've found helps mitigate the impact on my sleep of staring at the computer too much is blue block glasses worn for a few hours before shutting down for the night.

The best substitutes I have found worthy of drinking (as someone who seriously loves their coffee and teas too and find many herbal teas to be a bit on the wimpy side) are these:

For coffee I drink Teechino Dandelion Roast. It's not coffee but it is delicious and actually good for you too. Dandelion root has a lot of valuable nutrients. The Teechino brand also has other roasted drinks but those are grain based so I only use the dandelion ones.

For tea I drink Rooibos Chai. There are lots of brands but I found one called Davidson's on Amazon that has wonderful spices in it. Add a little coconut milk and it is heavenly.
I also have my Moringa tea which is like drinking your multi-vitamin/mineral/amino acid supplement. I found a ginger and a mint flavored Moringa but you could just get a plain one and add flavorings. A couple slices of fresh ginger for instance.

Ringing in your ears can be brought on by some medicines. One of the meds I'm on is Depakote and I believe it's a side effect of that. I have ringing in my ears quite often. I don't notice any trigger, it just comes and goes when it wants to.

I didn't know that about depakote which I'm on (another good reason to get off of it)
Tinnitus can also be caused by damage done to the ears by loud noises. My Dad had it from being close to too many airplane engines without proper ear protection in WWII. Lots of younger people are getting it from rave level decibels of music and blasting the volume too high in ear buds.

Don't forget exhaust mods on cars and blasting music while driving

That's a slippery slope. Inhale to keep turning up the music in my car as a result of decreased hearing.

I know folk that have huge exhaust systems on cars that push 100db+ on the highway. They need earplugs just to drive the car :roflmao:.

I get paranoid about the caffiene in coffee, but not the tea, the tannins worry me more.

So I use the same tea bag for like 5 or 6 glasses of water.

I still reach for a coffee every now and then though, it doesn't trigger me consistently. But I go months without it, it's not necessary.
