poor u fedup.....:(

this not going to make u happy, but they say keep moving...little steps..and if you can get some painkillers into you, you should do...(not sure of your meds)

i suffer back pain all to often these days, go from a 40 somethinger to an 80+er in one wrong move....

Magnesium Chloride oil (good health store will have it) is brilliant for muscles after a T/C.....and good for back pain...yes me and the Magnesium....I know, I never stop but I truly beleive in its healing powers..

poor u :( I am feeling for you here...

Chaz1

T hank you Chaz little steps I can do, about all. I am going to try the Magnesium chloride oil, Vimpat, lamictal and epinuton are my meds at the moment I have a habit of hurting myself but this time I got a phd in hurting your body and without trying.

Something I do know about might sound mad but you need a shoulder massage the tendons in your shoulders are all connected too your back and brain I had one when hurt my back at work also simple things like turning your mattress and no pilllows can help -hugs- hope your better soon

Maisy

A shoulder massage, now that is something I would never have thought of, but the pain of my back even to touch my wife had to put my shoes and socks on and I cannot get a shirt on. Turn the mattress you say and no pillows will do. Thanks for the idea.

one doctor Also told me back when I was a teenager get your duvet sleep on the floor and I tell you what it worked took few days but this isn't for everyone and I don't think I would in your case

I second the idea of a massage, and I would encourage you to find a really good massage therapist. Ask around and try to get referrals or recommendations so you find someone experienced. The right therapist can work wonders.

oh dear bad back i a myarta to...i no giving advice cos like advice myself but afraid to say walking is something you should try and do even if it torcher

So sorry to hear about the seizure/back pain -- argh! Go ahead and take painkillers to help. Ibuprofen tends to be better for muscle pain than aspirin or acetaminophen, but whatever you have should help. Ice and heat can both help. For the first few days, use a cold pack or a cold compress (my usual is a bag of frozen peas) on the sore area several times a day for no more than 20 minutes. After 2 to 3 days of cold treatment, then you can go ahead and apply heat (such as a hot pad) for brief periods. If you can make it in and out of the tub, warm baths are great for relaxing the muscles.

As Chaz says, you want to keep the mucsles moving, even if it's only a tiny bit of exercise at first. If the pain persists, or gets worse, see a doc. Ask about ultrasound treatment -- it's non-invasive, and gentle, and it can help the muscles to relax and feel better right away. When I injured my back after my very first seizures I went to a Physical Therapist who did Ultrasound. It really helped, plus the P.T. gave me some safe exercises to do as my back was healing.

Thank you all for your tips so far, Nakamova its funny you should say about the bath, the pain killers are no good, I will give you a laugh though I did not find it funny a few hours ago. My sister who thinks she knows all was nagging me about a bath and one of my brother-in-laws started at it as well. So I get into the bath and I felt worse but I could not get out, sent for a second brother-in-law now can you imagine to lads probably 5 feet 10/11 max trying to life a six foot 3 inch person who weighs in at 21 stone. One trying to lift my feet and the other my arms, I was still sitting in the bath, was I angery.

Hi Liam,
How are you feeling now? I hope you're doing better.
You may need to go to Urgent Care(do you have one near you?)
In October after a grand mal, I had horrible back pain (among other pains) - turned out 2 ribs were broken & that was the cause of the pain.
Urgent Care was able to xrays, give painkillers & anti- inflammatory medicine. The pain started easing almost immediately.
Hope you feel better soon, take care friend.
