hello everybody,

do some of you have also pain in the arms and legs because of the depakine treatment?

what do you do to find relief? my boyfriend is concerned. So far he realises that the sauna is very good to cool down and take off the pain, but we can not go very often...he is awake many nights because of this.
During summer time I do some massage with gel but it's working well for the legs..
thanks in advance

Hi whiteflower, welcome to CWE!

Is your boyfriend's pain related to tension in his muscles? If so, adding a magnesium supplement may help a bit. If he has seizure-control at his current Depakine dose, you could ask the neurologist about backing off the dose a bit to see if that reduces the side effects.

Best,
Nakamova

Hi and thanks!!

well will try but he is not really easy going :-)!!
some people say that this is not the result of the depakine..have also found a disease called fibromyalgie which presents these symptoms..keep on searching
