I just want to let everyone know I have had so many seizures the last few months that I have forgotten things I have said, done and happened. I am so sorry if I might have hurt anyone. Please forgive. Me. You are all wonderful and I enjoy this forum. Have a great night. :noevil:

Hi Penny. Does that mean that the $5,000.00 you promised to send to me will not be arriving? Tell me it ain't so! I already booked a vacation!
I hope you're feeling better. :)

Penny,
You haven't said/done anything to offend me that I recall. I am really sorry you're having such a difficult time right now. Hope they can get those damned seizures under control.
Get your much needed rest and stay safe.

I just got out of the psych ward after a week stay yesterday because of them. I guess I was really paranoid about the people at the building I live in. I thought they were all plotting against me and the hospital too the first couple days I was there. They have worked on my meds and I am feeling better.

I guess they found me in bed the same day I had already been at the emergency roo, having had a really bad grandma. My tounge is horrible on both sides and I have some bruising on leg and arm. I slept the first 2 days there. They said I hardly ate or drank.

The place I live now wants me to move. My sister is hiring a lawyer. I'm so upset over this. Its not the people who live here that have the problem its the workers. You would think that since it is apartment for mental illness they wouldnt get so bent out of shape. I was going off keppra when it happened. It was also in my left temporal lobe which the psych said can cause this.

Frustration!!!

Wow, Penny, that really is horrible! You certainly are at the far end of the bell curve of what happens to people with seizures. I'm glad that you are in as good a shape as you are. Do you have someone who can check on you regularly, like a couple of times a day, maybe, to make sure you're ok? Sounds like that would be a good thing for a while.

Onward!

I have to go down to the office in the am and pm for meds so if they don't see me then they will check but usually I am always up and going. that day last week I didn't go down for my meds so they checked and found me.

I have those feelings too. I think paranoia can be attributed to vengeance in a way. Having seizures is being beaten up for no reason, and I think it's tolerable that the mind wants to find an "assailant" and get revenge! but against who? an invisible ghost! well, that doesn't make sense, so the neighbors must be involved, right? working in cahoots with the ambulance paramedics! :o
I'm jesting, but I think it's reasonable to look at those feelings this way.
the forgetfulness I think can just be blamed on postictal brain-reboot, and it sounds like you've been going through a lot. these conditions can also be attributed to many other things like Rx side effects though, so you should consider all options.

I have a ton of trouble remembering things. It makes my husband mad at times because he thinks I'm joking with him.

It actually took be over 2 years to remember that president Regan had died, and I even watched his funeral on tv. For those 2 years anytime anything would come up about Regan saying he had died I had no clue about it and ask my husband when he died. It's sort of a joke now only he doesn't think it's funny!

If I've had several seizures in a short amount of time I don't remember things that happened shortly before that. My husband and I went to see a movie once and I had at least 5 seizures in the 2 following weeks. I don't remember going to see the movie, what it was called or what it was about.

I start to loose my memory after about 3 months. I always laugh and say there is no such thing as a repeat tv show for me. When it comes on a second time I don't remember watching it the first time so it's like a whole new thing for me.

Hope your feeling better!

You didn't say anything rude to me either. But does that mean that the home remodeling that you said you'd pay for is a no go now?
