aspartame definately became a trigger for me. Too much sugar also has an effect on most seizure patients I know. I was at the NIH in Md. for 6 weeks for brain surgery which did not improve my seizures, but I learned alot about different types. Your son needs your support, but do your best to let him manage this problem. Seizures are hard to discribe, and more difficult to accept. It's much easier for the person having them to feel open to discussing it, without feeling like it's bigger than life. I hope this helps a little. Not knowing your son makes it difficult to suggest what he needs. can he tell you? Hope so...Be patient.
