Too funny Sharon, and so true! (saw a spider before you kill it???) Could this be displaced anger at the phone company? Too bad we can't get our arms through the phone to strangle those computers and reroute our calls to be next! :D

:roflmao: @ "displaced anger"

No, I killed the spider because it was a baby
black widow, I was just playing with it with
a pen, before I killed it. You wouldn't want
a black widow spider in your house.

(But of course brown recluse and black widows
and other poisonous insects and reptiles and
plants are common place down here so it's
nothing out of the ordinary for us here)

In that case Sharon, I totally understand. ;) Right now my house has a mild (mainly external) infestation of black widows, but with cracks in the foundation and other little holes that every house has...it's just a matter of time before I kill one inside. {{{shudders}}}

A stroll down memory land ... (does anyone know where that is on the map?)

eensy weensy spiders

I used to have spiders all the time, till someone sprayed my house without consent. (There are stupid people who try to take care of me for me without consulting me. A very big pet peeve; which adversely affected my asthma).
They were very pretty. They had crab shells that were red, yellow or white. The webs were different every day and had the most beautiful patterns. They were my outside pets. (Tho' I never went near them.) I miss my babies.

O.k. you guys. :brain:, you crack me up! Shelley, I'm sorry you lost your "outside pets" (never heard anyone call them that before) :D

Pet Peeve: Anything that comes into my house uninvited and will not leave when I ask it too. (This may include, but is not limited to, spiders, mice, snakes, roaches, and my In-Laws) :soap::roflmao:

babies

I know it does sound weird, but the joy and beauty that they gave whether they were aware or not, whether the were functional or not was awesome.
Does anybody know anything about arachnids?

I can't stand RUDE PEOPLE!

:agree:

But as for the "pest" part ... the good ones gets escorted
back outside, the bad ones have a permanent headache!

:D

(That's the insects - not the people ...)

I CANNOT STAND RUDE PEOPLE!

I "stole" them - Kidding, they are called "Crab Spiders",
because they look like crabs... I have them all over the
place and they are beautiful to look at, but they do
bite (the bigger ones do) and are natural outside pest
control, along with lizards (geckos), salamanders, etc.

The lizards are missing

I had the most beautiful house in the neighborhood. I had crab spiders near the railing on my porch. The were not in the middle. That was lizard territory. I had a couple that would change color. They stayed near my outdoor plants and were usually green. But I did see them on my window screen, and they blended quite nicely with there rendition of black.
This year has sucked because there were no replacement spiders, and I wish those horrible neighbors would leave me alone.
Get this, they are bigger and stronger than me, yet have a vicious half chow/rot dog, plus they need to carry around a bat, because everyone elses dogs and cats are vicious. What can a rat terrier do? Or a 'westie'? They are the only large dog 'allowed' on the block because they have intimidated the trailer park manager. That dog is allegedly 'protection'. From whom, may I ask?
