Polirized glasses questions

If im photosensetive mostly only during the time i close my eyes and see flashing lights is there a point buying polorized sun glasses??

Do they have to be in blue color?

I still can have a jerk or aura infront of a computer (lcd) after sitting for a while or playing games when not on treatment when my eyes are open,would those glasses could help??

The lights you see flashing when your eyes are closed are different to the lights that set off a seizure. The lights when your eyes are closed are a seizure, or are an aura.

If you are photosensitive, lights such as your computer monitor, lights at a disco, fluorescent lights, other flashing lights (outside your head) can cause a seizure or migraine. This is when the polarized lenses/glasses help prevent the seizure.

I bought blue lenses, then realized blue is my trigger colour, and bought amber lenses. I now wear the amber lenses even in large sports halls during daytime, if they have fluorescent lighting. I also wear them while using my computer.

Did that make sense?

It made alot of sense lol you just misunderstood me.When i said flashing lights when i close my eyes i ment that during exposer to flashing lights either at an eeg test or trees along the road is when i get my aura and than the seizure.I din't mean that i see flashing lights from internal sources only external

P.S=Is there a way to check which color will suit me?,for most people i know its blue lences...

Also since you bought those,did you see blue or amber color on everything or its just like normal sunglasses with darker view?

Oops, sorry for misunderstanding LOL

I thought it would be blue lenses, too, because I also thought it was "for most people" (or for everyone). It wasn't until I noticed that all the flashing or backlit blue lights on my computer made my temples hurt, that I thought blue might be my trigger colour, so maybe I shouldn't wear blue lenses.

I didn't get much relief from the blue lenses, but when I switched to the amber ones, it was as if my brain and face "sighed" and said "thank you". I feel a lot of tension under my facial skin as a very early sign of a seizure or migraine. You could try some old sunglasses to see which work better for you - from an second-hand shop. They won't be polarized, but they will have a similar effect of reducing the trigger colour. Unfortunately I paid $30 or so for each pair of clip-on lenses!

If you have any blue lights on your computer, try covering them up, and if your brain "sighs" (you'll notice the feeling if you're sensitive to it) then blue is your trigger colour, and you need amber lenses. That's my amateur advice LOL

Your brain adjusts, just like wearing sunglasses, which are actually amber or blue tinted anyway. These were ordinary amber tinted polarized sunglasses - not specially made for photosensitive people.
