I had an RNS implanted a week ago and I'm having all sorts of problems with things. The dr said this is normal because there was so much stress (not sure if that's the word he used because he told it to my parents) done to my brain.
I wear bi-focal glasses. When I got home from the hospital I needed to use my glasses to see but I didn't need the reading part. So anytime I needed to read something I had to take my glasses off. Yesterday all off a sudden I needed my glasses to see and read. I wear bi-focal contacts and I put them in and so far so good.
My short term memory is a mess and I usually don't have problems with it. When people tell me about somethings they have to go into real detail and I might remember. I saw on TV the other morning that Trump was president, which I knew he was going to be, but didn't remember him being sworn in. My mom said that that we watched it, I don't remember it at all.
My dad and read books together and I'm about and I'm half way through this one. The only thing that was familiar is that the girl works in a zoo. He started to tell me about it to see if it would jog my memory and I only remembered one more thing. Decided to just start over. Don't know if I'll remember more when I do that?
I'm having problems with long term too, which I usually do so this might be normal. We had a bad storm last summer and a tree fell on my brother's house last summer and some other things happened during that storm. After my mom spent about 15 minutes of telling me what happened and me asking questions I sort of remember it.
Has anything like this happened to anyone else?
