Do i take them again? I could see one of my keppra tablets and one and a half tegretol.

I think i'm getting nauseous (spelling?) as a side effect of a new hormone med i started on monday, am a bit worried that i'll end up sicking up my epilepsy meds tomorrow too or if i take them again.

I would take the amount I saw come up and definitely call (in the morning) to see what to do about it in the future.

I took them again but they came up again so i think i'll give up on it for tonight >.<

I can't be certain yet that its the hormone meds thats causing it but i'm about 90% sure. I started taking it on monday and started feeling ill on tuesday.

About a year ago I took my meds and about an hour later I got sick and I threw them up. I waited until it was time for the next dose to take mine. I don't know how much of the med made it into my system and I didn't want to take too much of them. Throwing them up would be like missing a dose. That's not a good thing to do but I think it would be better than taking a double dose.

As long as you don't throw up your next dose then I'd say you'd be ok. If you keep throwing up then call your neuro and let him know and see what he advises.

When I got sick I ended up having a really bad inner ear infection and was put in the hospital where they gave me my meds through and IV so they knew that I was getting them.

Yeah i think i'll definitely wait til the morning now for my next dose.

Me and my bucket are heading off to bed now - side of my bed is closer than bathroom!

Hope your stomach settles down soon and you get a good night's sleep. Any instructions from the doc for taking the hormones meds so they don't upset your stomach?

Woke up this morning feeling fine (yay!), just taken my meds so if i start to feel ill again later i'll know its because of this new hormone pill. Even managed to get food into me today!

Awwww,Lou hope your gonna be ok.I find if im sick, without fail the Epilim is always visible but never any sign off the Tegratol and they are both the slow realease forms off the medication. So i usually just leave it and dont take more untill my next dose is due.
Lets hope we find ya in better form tommorow!!!

Called NHS direct and they wanted me to go to the hospital for a jab in my bum and some fluids but I politely declined, it being 10pm now. Definitely stopping the hormones tomorrow though and hopefully will be ok. Now I got to find a new hormone med though, I've never had this sort of pretty much immediate and violent reaction to a tablet before.

I'd becareful about how long you keep throwing up your meds. If you're not getting them in your system it isn't good, you need to have them.

It's worth it to go get those shots and other things even if you think it isn't.

I have an appointment to see my doctor later on today. Something that's a little more worrying is that it's friday today and i can remember every day apart from wednesday. After a bit of thinking I know i was at work that day but can't remember anything i did.

Thought this week went a bit fast :ponder:

Got some anti-sickness pills, they actually work!

I also got some advice in that if i'm sick after taking my tegretol that i'm not to take it again because it dissolves so quickly in the stomach there's no way to tell how much has already been absorbed. If i can see whole keppra apparently i can take them again though.

Lets hope i don't need that advice again!

Yeah, hope the stomach behaves. Ginger tea and gingerale are supposed to help settle the stomach too.
