Question about Alzheimer's

This has nothing at all to do with epilepsy.

I just found out today that my grandfather has the onsets of Alzheimer's. We knew there was something going on because he used to be very smart. He could write computer programs but now he has a good bit of problems doing things on it at all. He has a good bit comprehending how to do things in general and I usually have to help him out a lot.

His dr prescribed him a medicine. I don't know what it was, my grandma is going to let me know though, because I want to find out more information about it and how it works. I know there is a very good web site that tells you about meds but I lost the address when I got a new computer. Is there one that someone can recommended?

I was hoping that someone can give me some info. If there is a web site to go to, even a chat room like this, where I could find some.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

I just wanted to say sorry to hear about your Grandad.

My Dad has a rare brain disease which he was diagnosed with 2 years ago, I'm not sure what the name of the disease is but its long & there is nothing they can do. His memory is bad at times at the moment but he is still able to do most things, eventually it will get worse almost like an alzheimers person. The brain specialist Dad saw said they don't know how quickly he would deteriorate but it could be years before his memory got real bad.
