Hi Robin

I remember that you told me about magnesium. I have found out that my Mag levels are low. I had a couple of iv infusions to bring it up but I need to take magnesium that won't give me stomach issues.

Would you mind sharing the brand you use and where it can be purchased?

you can pm me.

Thanks much for the info

I considered PMing you, but I think it might be helpful for others to read this. I know I have posted this information elsewhere, but can't put my finger on it. I wasn't scolded by the mods for posting the info either, so here goes:

So far of what I have taken, I think this is the best form:
Ionic Magnesium

However, I am also experimenting with a new tablet.
Rebecca and I both are taking this brand at the moment.

Dr Russell Blaylock - neurosurgeon recommends this.
I have not yet had a migraine while taking this form, and it says that the SRT is slow release so as not to have a laxative effect. Rebecca needs a bit of that help, so I might do a combination of the Chelated Magnesium that was working well in that regard.

Those are two that you might try.

Hi Robin

Thank you so much, I was a little shocked that I was so low on multiple vitamins and hormones. I suspect it was from undiagnosed celiac causing me to not absorb the vitamins properly.

The vit D is easily taken care of. Mag is a little trickier, I want a good supplement but can get iv infusions when needed. (this really helped me with some severe body pain) who knew. The most tricky one is getting my insurance to cover the growth hormone I need. I had two types of tests that showed that. So fingers crossed while I wait to hear back from them. It's expensive out of pocket so I am hoping I don't have to go into arbitration with them.

thanks again for the info, I will look for one of these to try :)

Magnesium was recommended for Gideon by our Neurologist. She also suggested we add riboflavin with it. Both, according to her research are excellent for migraine prophylactic.

We were fortunate to fins a pharmacy that was willing to mix elemental mag with riboflavin in a suspension for Gideon. It was still NASTY tasting and cost us $60.

anastasia12, I hope things work out with coverage.

I just got my order of the jigsaw mag. Going to see how that works for a couple weeks. If it doesn't help I may try the other you recommended. Mag is a tough one since it cause so much tummy trouble in the wrong form.
