Question for VNS users

I've noticed that if I think I'm having a seizure, but I'm not, when I use my magnet my throught starts tingling like crazy and I'll start coughting until it ends. However if I am actually having a seizure and use it none of this happens at all, I have no effect in my throught, but it does bring me out of the seizure.

It's happened alot more since my last visit because I think he really cranked it then.

Is this normal or does this happen to others too?

I heard a talk by someone who had a VNS & his throat tingled & it effected his speech a bit every few minutes (15 minutes I think) when the VNS discharged.

My throat tingles every time the VNS stimulates and once in a while I cough some. My voice definitely changes every time it stimulates so if I am speaking, I either have to warn others my VNS is stimulating or stop speaking for a 30 seconds. When I use the magnet, it doesn't effect my throat, voice.

It does tingle when it goes off a little bit, I really haven't noticed any voice change with that.

What I am talking about is when I use the magnet when I'm having a seizure.

If I think I'm having one, but I'm not, and use it my throught will tingle like crazy and I'll start coughing.

If I am having a seizure and use it, I don't notice anything happening at all with it and don't cough.
