When reading a link someone posted (about different seizures), and reading someone's post here about their grandma, I am wondering.... can you start having seizures at ANY age (if you have had no trauma that might trigger them)?

I am just curious. Mine started (officially) at 21, but in reading the link provided, I am almost positive I was having the type where you just blank out or pass out in high school. Still haven't found a exact reason.

Anyone can get epilepsy at anytime. 20% of cases develop before the age of five, and 50% develop before the age of 25. However, epilepsy is also increasingly associated with the elderly, and there are as many cases in those 60 years of age and older as in children 10 years of age and under.

Mine arrived out of the blue at age 35.

Wow! Thanks! I started having Grand Mals at 21. I am glad I asked. I am just trying to make chit-chat until the pizza comes :D
