Hi, I had a EEG test done & awaiting results but in the mean time can anyone explain the difference between prolonged muscles spasms/jerks & conscious seizures? As I not sure which one I experienced.

It's not necessarily either/or, since muscle spams/jerks can be a form of seizure (called myoclonic) that can occur while you are conscious. So some spasms ARE conscious seizures.

Other kinds of "conscious seizures" are absence seizures (they appear a bit like daydreaming), simple partial seizures that can take the form of a wide variety of unusual sensations, and complex seizures which can include some verbal or cognitive impairment as well as an "automatic" aspect similar to sleepwalking.
