I TAKE 2 MG KLONIPIN as a rescue med when the partial seizures won't stop. It has always worked well but today it doesn't seem to be doing all that much. My left leg no longer feels weak but my left shoulder still feels like it could fall out of it's socket. It feels so heavy, almost like I want to put it in a sling. I have been on klonipin for a year , every evening for sleep but the neuro told me to take it during the day if my seizures won't stop. I wonder if the effects are wearing off and it is becoming less effective for me, like maybe I have built up a tolerance to it.

I've never heard of a rescue medicine. I think I may have been on kloipin at one point or the other too. I'm not sure why I was taken off of it. My neuro has always told me that if my seizures won't stop or last more than 10 minutes then call 911 or go to the ER.

How often do you end up taking the klonopin? You may want to call your doctor about it. If you're taking it often enough to build up a tolerance, then there is a bigger issue at hand.
