Change one letter in the five-letter word the former person gives you.

The next person will then change one letter in the word you used and so on.

When all possible words are used up, someone starts with a new 4 letter word.

You've really confused me, Dutch Mom - about the 4 letter words, which 4 letter words?
 
I think she means 5 letters,.

I'm trying to think of a change, but all I can think of is mend, and that leaves an O unused. Hmmmm...
