Hello, everyone! This is my first time signing up on a general forum (usually entertainment forums) so it may be a little different, but I like it. I just came on today reading the posts here, and just feeling so happy that hey people experience the same things as me! I feel like to talking to people I know about my medical problems (though I don't) and I frankly think they feel annoyed when I even say anything about my epilepsy.

I've had seizures since I was 11 (and now am eighteen). I have photosensitive epilepsy as well. I have temporal lobe, absence seizures, tonic clonic, and those ones where your body goes into random positions (forgot what they're called). I had my first seizure on Easter day. Playing a video game. In a dress. Around a bunch of kids (I'm loling at how terrified they probably were!) At a restaurant. That was the first time I started having seizures, and then I started having them with no triggers at all. They've been hitting me hard lately, and I haven't been going to school regularly because of it. Oh well. That's life for ya.

Anyways, It's nice to hear from fellow epileptics :)

Welcome C_U

So glad you feel at home here.

Make sure you also check out the library. There's some excellent resources & info on this site.

Oh yes.... before I forget- here's your complimentary cup of coffee (coco or tea if you'd rather)

Hi, Cactus! I'm glad you are here!

You'll like it in here. Nice people, good information. There are a fair number of teenagers in here, too, so you have lots of company.

:)
