Saw the Neuro Psychiatrist

I saw my friend the neuro psychiatrist yesterday. Told her about the ambulitory eeg starting on Monday and how frustrated I will be if it still does'nt catch one of these "episodes." I also asked her if the eeg once again doesn't show the seizure where would I go from here. All she could say was probably more medications.
Hmmm I think thats a typical answer from the mental health field.:bigmouth:

Thats ok I'm not going to think about that right now and just hope the eeg will catch one of these "episodes"

Shouldn't a neurologist be the one to provide answers to questions about the EEG? And the shrink is for mental health issues. Your friend could help you deal with the frustration if you don't get any answer next week.

The problem is I'm stuck in the middle between the Epileptolgist and psychiartrist. I had a viedo eeg in June and had seizures that did'nt show on the eeg. After that 5 day waste of time the epileptolgist thinks if it does'nt show on the eeg its pseudo seizure and there for a mental issue. I saw my friend the Epileptolgist eariler this month and told him that these "episodes" are geting more intense and frequent that is why I'm doing an ambulitory eeg. This will be my 4th eeg since March! The psychiartist says these are seizures even if its mental. So now i'm afraid Im going to waste 3 more days wired up and its still not going to catch this so called episode on the eeg and I will be no closer after next week than I am now!:bigmouth:
