Do they do IEPs for (rolandic)epilepsy? If so, what should be requested or expected?

Usually IEPs are indicated when a child has a learning issue or developmental delay, which can happen in the case of many different medical diagnoses, including different types of epilepsy. Is that the case for your child?

If not, you may be thinking of a 504 plan which is kind of a "medical IEP." A child may need a 504 for many types of medical issues including epilepsy. My daughter had a 504 when she was in public school. Basically it outlined what academic accommodations would be in place in case she had a seizure (such as the possibility of assignments being waived or altered), as well as being given extra time for exams because of medication side effects. It protects your child in the event that their medical issues interfere with their education.

I hope this helps.
